You will need to be enthusiastic about pizza, hard working and a team player. You must have strong experience as a pizza chef and be capable of running your section smoothly in an open plan kitchen. As our Pizza Chef, you will primarily be responsible for: Working alongside our Head pizza chef in making our unique contemporary dough; Preparing and plating all dishes to a consistent, high-standard; Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in our, newly refurbished, state of the art kitchen; Keeping on top of current food trends, utilising your knowledge to assist management in developing new menu items; Although our business is going from strength to strength, we’re essentially a start-up business. Roots & Wholeslice are looking for a passionate chef who has sous chef or ideally head chef experience and has great leadership qualities. We have been going since 2015 and have grown a wonderful following of people who love our food, we pride ourselves on making all our food in house whether it be sauces, dressings, marinates to pastries, french toast and pancakes. We are looking for someone to come on aboard and help take us to the next level again with even more creative dishes focusing on making every in house. We are looking to launch a Roots by night menu to run alongside our ever growing pizza arm of the business and need help building that menu of which we have a few fan favourites. We need a leader who can come on board to help improve and train our current passionate team, someone who has experience in busy environments and someone looking for a new challenge and keen to put their own stamp on things.
