We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and innovative professional who shares our passion for traditional Chinese cuisine and is eager to contribute to the success of our restaurant. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen. - Help with the development and planning of menus, ensuring a consistent and high-quality dining experience. - Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. - Manage inventory and order supplies, maintaining optimal stock levels and controlling kitchen costs. - Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standard, with a focus on Sichuan and North-East Chinese cuisine. - Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction. - Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen and act as the Head Chef’s representative when they are not present. Requirements: - Proven experience as a Sous Chef, ideally with a background in Chinese cuisine. - Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team. - Fluency in both English and Chinese is essential. - A creative approach to food and menu development. - Excellent time management and organizational skills. - A passion for food and a commitment to personal and professional growth. - A relevant culinary qualification is preferable.
