Our new Brighton site will be based in a buzzing food hall, and we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team and take charge of this unique space. The Role: As Kitchen Manager, you will be the driving force behind the day-to-day running of our kiosk kitchen. This isn’t a traditional kitchen setup, so adaptability, efficiency, and a flair for creating delicious food in a streamlined environment are essential. You’ll take full ownership of kitchen operations, ensuring every dish meets our high standards and customers leave delighted. Key Responsibilities: Manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and high-energy work environment. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation, maintaining our exceptional quality and consistency. Ensure all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times. Manage stock control, ordering, and deliveries, minimising waste and maximising efficiency. Train, mentor, and support team members to grow their skills and excel in their roles. Collaborate with senior management on menu development and seasonal offerings. Monitor kitchen performance, maintaining a clean, organised, and well-functioning workspace. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar leadership role within a kitchen environment. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting. A natural leader who can inspire and motivate a team. Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Experience managing costs and budgets, with a focus on efficiency and quality. A passion for great food and delivering a memorable customer experience. Adaptability to work within a non-traditional kitchen space like a kiosk. Manage the tandoori section, ensuring efficient and seamless operations. Prepare and marinate meats and seafood for tandoori cooking. Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring all dishes are cooked to perfection. Create a variety of tandoori specialties, including mixed grills, chicken tikka, and naan breads. Prepare dishes according to recipes, accommodating customer preferences and special requests. Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and health regulations in the kitchen. Inspect the quality and freshness of ingredients used for tandoori preparations. Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and consistently high-quality dishes.
