Job Description: We are looking for a creative and proficient Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, a passion for food, and exceptional leadership skills. The Head Chef will be responsible for designing menus, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Position: Head Chef Location: SNW Food LTD T/A Foody Hub - 794 High Road, Goodmayes, Ilford, Essex, IG3 8TH Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Up to £38,700.00 - £39,000.00 depends on experience. - Key tasks: - As a Head Chef your key duties include: - Have creative input when it comes to new dishes, specials and menu creation. - Ability to work with local and seasonal ingredients. Be able to cook dishes on the menu. - Be well presented, have great time keeping, be capable of prepping and running a section on a busy service. - Have a hands on approach and demonstrate technical skill in producing high quality food. - Hands on involvement in preparation, cooking and presentation all food items. - Supervise aspects of kitchen cleanliness and co-ordinate the effective utilization of staff in the kitchen. - Ensuring effective staffing levels and that kitchen areas are maintained to a high hygiene standard at all times. - Be responsible for compliance with all the relevant health & safety regulations, & restaurant policy on food safety & food quality. - Purchase food items from the supplier list as instructed by the Head Chef. - organising and supervising the training of junior kitchen staff, motivating staff to increase skills in food preparation and kitchen management. - Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored, with all breakages and breakdowns being properly reported and recorded. - Minimize food wastage and keep stock of ingredients. ** Job requirements:** - You will have at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role. - Expert multitasking ability. - Great leadership and interpersonal skills. ** Skills required:** - Leadership. - Effective communication. - Be able to work accurately under pressure. - Organisation. - Effective customer service.
