As a Shop Manager for our convenience store, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maximising profitability. The person will play a crucial role in maintaining a well-organised, efficient, and customer- centric environment. Responsibilities: Team Management: - Recruit, train, and supervise store staff. - Create staff schedules, manage shifts, and delegate tasks effectively. - Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. - Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high-quality customer service. Operational Excellence: - Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures. - Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to maintain stock. - Oversee merchandising, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked appropriately. - Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store. Customer Service: - Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service. - Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. - Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience. Financial Management: - Monitor sales and expenses to meet and exceed store targets. - Implement cost-control measures while maximizing profitability. - Handle cash management, including deposits and reconciliation.
