As a Shop Manager for our convenience store, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maximising profitability. The person will play a crucial role in maintaining a well-organised, efficient, and customer-
centric environment.

Responsibilities:
Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise store staff.
  • Create staff schedules, manage shifts, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high-quality customer service.


Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to maintain stock.
  • Oversee merchandising, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked appropriately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store.


Customer Service:
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience.


Financial Management:
  • Monitor sales and expenses to meet and exceed store targets.
  • Implement cost-control measures while maximizing profitability.
  • Handle cash management, including deposits and reconciliation.


Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure the store complies with all safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain compliance standards.


Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a convenience store environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and basic accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of retail software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
