    Internal Sales Executive (Outbound Focus) Location: Colchester, UK Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary £27000 + up to £2K commission About Us We are a leading supplier to plumbing merchants across the UK, known for delivering high-quality products and reliable, customer-focused service. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a driven and commercially minded Internal Sales Executive to join our fast-paced sales team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outbound sales activity, relationship management, and identifying new opportunities within existing and lapsed accounts. The Role As an Internal Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue through proactive outbound sales calls, while also handling inbound enquiries and supporting the External Sales team. You will be responsible for developing customer relationships, maximising account value, and ensuring a smooth end-to-end sales process. This is a target-driven role within a busy B2B sales environment, requiring focus, resilience, and strong commercial awareness. Key Responsibilities • Make proactive outbound sales calls to existing, lapsed, and prospective plumbing merchant customers, • Identify and develop new sales opportunities through upselling and cross-selling, • Manage inbound sales enquiries via phone and email, providing quotations and product advice, • Process and manage customer orders accurately using CRM and ERP systems, • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, • Support the External Sales team by following up leads and managing allocated accounts, • Monitor back orders and coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, • Resolve customer queries, delivery issues, and complaints professionally and efficiently, • Maintain accurate customer and sales records, • Proven experience in internal sales, outbound sales, telesales, or B2B sales support, • Confident and professional telephone manner with a strong focus on outbound calling, • Sales-driven mindset with the ability to identify and convert opportunities, • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced sales environment, • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), • Experience using CRM and/or ERP systems is highly desirable, • Competitive salary with commission structure, • Ongoing training and career development opportunities, • Supportive and friendly working environment, • £25 per month contribution towards a gym membership, • Your birthday off, • 23 days holiday (with 3–4 days allocated for the Christmas–New Year shutdown), • Early finish at 4pm every Friday

    MyRuby provides a personalised telephone reception, virtual PA and diary management service for offices and clinics across the UK, from our office in Colchester. To our clients MyRuby is an extension of their business - someone they can trust to handle their calls when they are either unavailable or unable to take the call. Each client is assigned a "Ruby"- their own dedicated Receptionist/PA who will be their first point of telephone contact with the outside world. "Ruby" is responsible for her own group of clients, getting to know them and their team as if she was based alongside them. "Ruby" answers incoming calls on behalf of her clients and handles them in one of the following ways: 1. Provides the information the caller wants and then passes on the details to her client, 2. Puts the caller through to the relevant contact, 3. Takes a comprehensive message which is forwarded via email, phone or SMS, 4. Accesses online diary systems to book and amend appointments MyRuby uses a bespoke CMIS (Customer Management Information System) that integrates with the latest telephony to enable calls to be routed to the right Ruby and the company details to be instantly displayed on screen. In addition to look after a client’s incoming calls, a Ruby’s duties also include: • Maintaining and updating client details on our Customer Management Information System, • Responding to client requests to change their call handling requirements, such as over a holiday period, • Diary management, • Ad hoc tasks such as making travel arrangements, managing diaries, internet research Key Skills & Attributes – Both Office and Medical • Excellent telephone manner and speaking voice, • Attention to detail including grammar and spelling, • Ability to multi-task, • Thrive under pressure, • Competent IT skills - Keyboard, Microsoft Office, Databases, • Great common sense and initiative, • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, • Good level of education including Maths and English GCSEs, • Previous experience in an office environment or contact centre, • PA/Secretarial Skills Key Skills & Attributes – Medical Only • Previous experience in a medical practice, • Knowledge of Practice Management Software, • Knowledge of SystmOnline Diary System
