Paralegal – Property Securitisation | Colchester | Hybrid | £26,226 \n \n Tier 1 team. £1m–£500m transactions. Affordable housing at the sharpest end. And you don't need conveyancing experience to get in the door. \n \n We're working in partnership with a long-established, full-service law firm to find a Paralegal for their Property Securitisation team in Colchester. \n \n Who you'd be joining \n A City of London firm with more than 150 years behind it, now operating from London, Leeds, Birmingham and Colchester with around 350 people and a growing international reach. They act for major multi-nationals, charities, housing associations and Regulators alike, across Commercial/Corporate, Civil Litigation, Housing, Employment, Real Estate, Projects and Property Development. \n \n The Securitisation team is ranked Tier 1 by both Chambers UK and Legal 500 and sits at the forefront of the affordable housing sector – work that funds real homes for real people. \n \n What you'd actually be doing \n Running your own caseload, supporting Partners and Solicitors on significant transactions from day one: \n\n • Identifying titles and pulling Official Copy Entries and Office Copy Documents from the Land Registry\n, • Title checks and property due diligence\n, • Searches, and chasing Local Authorities and third parties for outstanding items\n, • Pre-completion Land Registry searches and post-completion work\n, • Progress reports to clients, Partners and Solicitors\n, • Helping drive the team's largest transactions over the line\n\n It's a demanding role. You'll juggle competing priorities and you'll be trusted early. \n \n What you'll need \n\n • A 2:1 or above in Law, Politics, Economics or a Humanities-related subject\n, • Genuinely excellent attention to detail – this is the one that matters most\n, • Strong drafting, sound legal research, and the ability to explain things in plain English\n, • The organisation to run a heavy workload to tight deadlines with limited supervision\n, • Confidence with MS Word, Excel and Outlook\n\n \n Nice to have, but not a dealbreaker \n\n • Property or conveyancing experience\n, • Studying CILEx, or LPC completed or underway part time\n, • Experience with a Document Management System\n\n \n The details \n\n • Salary: £26,226\n, • Location: Colchester, hybrid\n, • Process: One stage, in person at the Colchester office – no drawn-out rounds\n\n \n If you're a sharp graduate looking for a first or second step with real responsibility, this is a strong one. The academics and the attention to detail are what count – the conveyancing knowledge can follow. \n \n Apply here, or send me your CV directly for a confidential chat.
