Finance Director Healthcare Recruitment Agency – Milton Keynes £80,000 – £85,000 a year – Full-time, Permanent Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm. Office-based (4 days per week) Company insight You'll be working in a fast-growing healthcare recruitment agency providing Healthcare staff to the NHS. As the business continues to expand, they're seeking a commercially minded and hands-on Finance Director to join their team. This is a key leadership role in a dynamic SME environment, offering the chance to shape financial strategy and support long-term growth, including potential third-party investment or business exit within the next 3–5 years. Key Responsibilities Lead the production of monthly management accounts Maintain robust internal financial controls and policies Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning Oversee cash flow and invoice financing Ensure statutory compliance (audit, tax, IR35, VAT, PAYE) Supervise payroll and commission processes Lead year-end audit and corporation tax submission Provide strategic insight to support business decisions Support the Managing Director with board reporting Prepare the business for future investment/exit opportunities Criteria for a successful appointment Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Proven experience leading finance in a growing SME Strong financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge Strategic mindset with hands-on execution Excellent stakeholder communication and team leadership skills Experience with investment readiness or exit processes (desirable)
