As Chef De Partie, you will work in close collaboration with the Sous Chef and Head Chef sharing responsibility for leading junior chefs. More about the role: Monitor standards of hygiene and appearance of your team to ensure company standards are maintained. Respond to the pace of the business in terms of speed of work and productivity. Prepare food in the correct manner as shown by the Head Chef, in compliance with company food specifications and photographs. Work with the entire team including managers and supervisors to provide quality, well-presented food with speed and efficiency. Where appropriate make recommendations to improve products and service Follow instructions to maximise product yield and minimise waste. To make sure that you meet all legal and company requirements for fire, health, safety and hygiene Who you are: Worked in a similar environment before including contract catering experience Quality driven Have excellent culinary skills with an attention to detail A creative thinker with sound knowledge of the latest food trends Have sound knowledge of hygiene, health and safety requirements Self-motivated with the ability to work in a high pressure environment Package for Chef de Partie: £15 per hour Monday to Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm 40 hours per week
The Head Chef supervises the food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage the kitchen staff and guide them to deliver quality food on time. A minimum of 3 years; uninterrupted; working in an Italian cuisine kitchen is required. Working 45/48 hours x week (5 day / 2 days off). The restaurant operates a Split Shift during the week. You will ensure all plates are properly cooked and served for our customers to have a pleasant dining experience. Responsibilities: Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders and quality check Supervise food prep and cooking Check food plating and temperature and quality freshness Establish portion sizes Schedule kitchen staff shifts Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, under supervision Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators) Keep weekly and monthly cost reports Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area Requirements and skills: Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager or Head Chef Knowledge of Italian cuisine. A minimum of 3 years; uninterrupted; working in an Italian cuisine kitchen is required. Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations Excellent organisational skills Conflict management abilities Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends ELIGIBILITY: In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
