Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team and work alongside the Head of Accounts. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is proactive, autonomous, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate recording of purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Core Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank statements and verify the accuracy of financial records.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including issuing invoices and processing vendor payments.
- Maintain organized financial documentation for compliance and auditing purposes.
- Assisting with multiple VAT returns
- Credit control
- Other general stand bookkeeping duties
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years’ bookkeeping experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident communicator via phone and email.
- Proficient in Excel and finance software (we use Profit 4).
- Proactive, organised, and collaborative, with the ability to work independently.
- Problem solving and logical thinker
