Franklyn Air is looking for motivated and experienced Air Conditioning Service Engineers to join our growing team. We’re looking for skilled engineers who take pride in their work, enjoy fault-finding and problem-solving, and are committed to delivering reliable, high-quality service to our customers.
As an AC Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a range of air conditioning systems, helping ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably. You’ll play an important role in diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and keeping our customers’ systems running smoothly, while working closely with our office team and fellow engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on air conditioning systems.
- Diagnose faults, identify issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and system schematics.
- Test equipment following servicing and repairs to ensure correct operation.
- Complete accurate service reports, recording work carried out and any further action required.
- Communicate findings clearly with colleagues and the office team.
- Work safely and professionally on site, managing tasks efficiently and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in air conditioning service and maintenance.
- F-Gas Certificate required.
- Strong practical mechanical and technical knowledge.
- Ability to diagnose faults, interpret schematics and carry out repairs confidently.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A professional, reliable and organised approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience within the wider construction or building services industry, fridge knowledge, alongside leadership or site coordination skills, would also be beneficial.
