Please note having a Level 3 in Early Years is required in order to apply for this position. Shannon ChildCare are seeking a fun and creative Nursery Practitioner, that is passionate about working with children, to join our friendly team in our Outstanding Nurseries. The successful applicant will be required to live local to Edgware (HA8). It is essential you hold a minimum Level 3 or Equivalent in Childcare. The nursery is open Monday to Friday from 8am-6pm, 49 weeks per year. We are closed 1 week in August and 2 weeks in December (paid). You will be required to work 30 hours per week between the hours of 8am to 6pm on a shift basis (1hr break). We are situated in easy walking distance to public transport and shops (Edgware Station). Key Objectives: To be a reliable member of the nursery team working co-operatively and with flexibility Showing initiative and creativity to foster an environment, which encourages the children’s all round development.

We are looking for a nursery assistant to support the children in the group. It is a small group of children in a home away from home atmosphere setting. the work includes stimulating the children, keep them happy and safe and get them ready for their next step.

As a Deputy Manager at Little Lumos Nursery, your role will be pivotal in assisting the Manager with the day-to-day operations of the nursery. You will ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development and well-being. The position is room based and you will have key children. Key Responsibilities: • Support the Manager in overseeing nursery activities and staff., • Implement educational programs that align with the nursery's objectives., • Monitor child safety and welfare, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements., • Engage with parents and caregivers, providing updates on child progress and addressing concerns., • Assist in staff training and development to maintain a high standard of care., • Keyperson responsibilities Qualifications: • Relevant childcare qualifications Level 3 and experience in a similar role., • Strong leadership and communication skills., • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently., • Pediatric First Aid Certificate, • Enhanced DBS on update service or willing to undergo a CRB check.
