What the role looks like As a Field Interviewer, you’ll be out in your local area speaking to people face-to-face — whether that’s on doorsteps, in communities, or on public transport. The role is designed to be flexible. Some people prefer set shifts, while others like the freedom of working when it suits them. With us, you can do either: Your working options • Regular shifts each week (door-to-door or transport projects), • Transport shifts are 3–3.5 hours, • Pay includes:, • £12.75 per hour during initial training period, • £51–£61 per shift for transport work (project dependent) Pay-per-complete work • Get paid for each successful interview you complete, • Typically, 2- 3 days per week for door-to-door work (6-hour shifts), • Work more flexibly, choosing when to go out, • Great if you prefer a more independent way of working You can let us know which style you prefer, and we’ll do our best to match you with available work in your area. What you’ll be doing • Speaking to members of the public and asking survey questions, • Working in communities or on public transport, • Recording answers on a tablet (provided), • Representing Ipsos in a friendly and professional way Don’t worry if you’ve never done this before — we provide full training and ongoing support. As a Field Market Research Interviewer, you’ll travel across bus routes and stations, speaking with passengers to help improve public transport across the UK. What the Role Involves Each shift is based on a specific route, stop, or station. You’ll be provided with everything you need, including a tablet, survey materials, and ID, to carry out your work confidently. During your shift, you will: • Approach passengers and invite them to take part in a short survey, • Ask a set of structured questions and accurately record responses, • Capture feedback on their journey and experience, • Occasionally count passenger numbers (footfall) Shifts may vary: • Some involve travelling on a bus for the full route, • Others are based at a bus stop or station (typically around 3 hours) You’ll be working independently, often in public-facing environments, so confidence and resilience are key.
