Position Title: Barista Reports to: Store Manager/ Assistant Manager Department: Operations Job Summary: The barista is responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. They are also responsible for educating customers about products. The barista will fulfill and any other duties that the Store Manager will assign to him. Main Duties: - Selling and serving products to customer in a courteous and friendly manner. - Safely handling all hot and cold drinks during preparation. - Receiving all customers orders. - Making drinks using specialist equipment. - Ensuring that all customers are educated on our products and services. - Providing the highest quality standards to customers. - Answering customers questions regarding any products in the shop. - Weighting, grinding, and packing coffee's per customers order according to company's guidelines - Routinely cleaning all the shops areas (Bar lounge, dining floor, toilets, trash) - Reporting any potential threat safety hazard to Assistant Manager. - Checking all the machines regularly during the day. - Setting up the coffee shop ready for opening. - Collecting food from the kitchen area and returning dishes if needed. - Serving and cleaning lounge when needed. - Refilling products in all the shop areas. - Keeping service counters clean ad fully stocked. - Promoting customer care through all actions. - Informing Assistant Manager of low stock levels. - Ensuring that all cabinets are stocked and tidied to deliver a full service. - Using the correct handling and lifting procedures as outlined in induction training and shop manuals. - Ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the shop health and safety standards. - Cooperating with other staff members. We're looking for an enthusiastic front of house team member,someone very happy in a customer facing role in our C’est Ici Coffee Shop. The role is for a barista / shop assistant to serve customers coffees,sandwiches,cakes and pastries that are produced that day by the bakers . Experience as a barista / working in a fast paced environment will be essential. Duties will include: Serving customers, putting a smile on the face of our local customers, making coffees, keeping the counters and displays tidy, restocking, tidying & cleaning, preparing sandwiches / toasties. This is on a casual worker basis. Must be willing to work any day of the week during the day, but mainly at weekends (Please do not apply if you can't work weekends). Ideally would live locally. Barista experience would be ideal.

Summary of the role - Greet and meet guests at the deli desk. - Present our deli and coffee, provide relevant information to our guests (food allergies, portions, various upselling and add-ons). - Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones. - Inform guests about our specials and any dishes or drinks that we are currently promoting. - Offer hot drinks or deli recommendations upon request. - Up-sell in both deli (pastry and cakes) and beverages. - Take accurate orders. - Taking accurate payments from customers. - Communicate efficiently with the Front of House and managers. - Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning and recording any defects. - Check your crockery and area for cleanliness and presentation and report any issues. - Arrange barista and deli settings, maintaining a tidy section. - Keeping the work environment safe, sanitary, and organized. - To respect the Allergen standards laid out by the law and Chez Antoinette standards. - Participate in team briefings and have a keen interest in the daily life of the restaurant. - Follow all relevant Health and Safety regulations and policies. - Provide excellent customer service to guests.
