With a salary of £180,880 FTE (pro-rata £108,528 for 22.5 hours per week), this role is perfect for those looking to balance their professional and personal lives. About Us\n Located in Bartle, near Preston, Priory Hospital is a leading mental health facility providing services for adults with acute mental health needs and eating disorders across four wards. Our hospital is easily accessible via public transport, with local bus routes and Preston railway station nearby, as well as convenient access to the M55 motorway. Your Role\n As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in patient recovery. Your responsibilities will include: \n\n • Clinical Leadership: Take overall responsibility for patient care and lead multidisciplinary ward rounds.\n, • Assessment & Planning: Conduct risk assessments, strategic reviews, and therapeutic planning.\n, • Legal Oversight: Act as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).\n, • Admissions Management: Oversee referrals, admissions, and contribute to pre-admission assessments.\n, • Expertise Contribution: Provide specialist psychiatric expertise to multidisciplinary assessment and treatment planning.\nWhat You Bring\n We are looking for candidates who possess: \n\n • MRCPsych (or equivalent qualification) and a CCT (or equivalent).\n, • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register, along with Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.\n, • Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to the specialty.\n, • A commitment to shared leadership, collaborative working, and service improvement.\n, • Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.\nWhat We Offer\n At Priory, we want you to thrive in your role!
