Job Overview
We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Carers and Senior Carers to join a growing healthcare team supporting individuals in residential and care settings. This role involves providing high-quality person-centred care while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times.
The ideal candidate will have a caring nature, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support tailored to individual needs
- Assist with daily living activities including mobility, nutrition, and hygiene
- Support residents with emotional wellbeing and social engagement
- Maintain accurate records and report any concerns appropriately
- Follow care plans, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety guidelines
- Administer or support with medication where required and trained
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals
- Promote dignity, respect, and independence for all individuals
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Carer
- Lead and support care staff during shifts
- Assist with medication administration and MAR documentation
- Support care planning and risk assessments
- Escalate concerns and liaise with management when necessary
- Mentor and guide junior team members
Requirements
- Previous experience within a care or support setting preferred
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care desirable
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and nights if required
- Medication training and moving & handling training beneficial
- A compassionate and professional approach to care
