Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) is appointed by the UK Government to inspect independent schools in England that are members of the Independent Schools Council (ISC), private further education colleges, and British Schools Overseas. It also inspects the provision for international qualified teacher status. ISI serves more than 1,400 schools, educating over 500,000 children across the UK and in over 50 countries worldwide. We are seeking a Non‑Executive Director to join the ISI Board. The Board meets in person in London and is focused on maintaining high standards of education, reviewing national inspection frameworks, and supporting the introduction of revised frameworks for British Schools Overseas. • Participate actively in Board meetings and contribute strategic direction., • Provide independent oversight and governance of the inspectorate’s work., • Support the development and implementation of inspection frameworks., • Engage with stakeholders across the education sector to promote quality assurance., • Experience as a senior non‑executive director, particularly in education., • Senior specialism in education policy and/or research with broad experience across different educational contexts and settings., • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and communication skills., • Demonstrated commitment to the importance of education for young people and society.
