We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing a variety of wooden and other material structures. Duties
Fabricate and assemble bespoke joinery components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
Install carpentry structures such as frameworks, roofing, flooring, and partition walls on-site
Perform precise measurements and cutting to ensure accurate fitting of components
Assist with construction painting, masonry, plumbing, electrical tasks, and roofing as required
Conduct heavy lifting of materials safely in accordance with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety standards at all times
Read technical drawings and specifications to execute projects accurately
Requirements
Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or related construction trades
Proficiency in fabrication, assembly, and installation processes
Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, sanders)
Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing, electrical systems is desirable but not essential
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong understanding of construction safety standards and protocols
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not mandatory
Physical fitness to undertake demanding tasks over extended periods
