Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade. The successful candidate will take ownership of a designated section, producing consistent, high-quality dishes in line with our menus and standards. This is an exciting opportunity to grow within a dynamic and creative kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of your designated section (e.g. larder, pastry, sauce, grill)
- Prepare, cook and present dishes to the highest standard, in line with Fallen Angel's recipes and specifications
- Ensure all food preparation is carried out in a timely and efficient manner during service
- Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards in accordance with current legislation
- Monitor and manage stock levels within your section, minimising waste and reporting shortages to the Sous Chef
- Assist with the training and development of junior kitchen staff and commis chefs
- Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service at all times
- Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu development and daily specials
- Ensure your section is clean, organised and ready for service at all times
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie looking to step up
- Formal culinary qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) preferred
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations (Food Hygiene Level 2 minimum)
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality food
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required
