We need a part-time kitchen assistant to support the kitchen team leader.
You’ll need to be flexible with your working hours, as we’re looking to expand our kitchen opening times, so weekends, evenings and holiday’s will be on your weekly working rota.1. 1. Supporting the kitchen team leader to prepare and set up for the day ahead
- Assisting in preparing and cooking various dishes as per the Club menu
- Working alongside and supporting the kitchen team leader during the shift
- Taking the responsibility of running the kitchen solo as and when required
- Assisting in the preparing of buffets for the many functions we cater for
- To ensure the kitchen is clean, hygienic, and operational as per catering standards and requirements with support of the kitchen team leader, and when working independently
- To ensure, at all times, personal compliance with catering policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, basic food hygiene, C.O.S.H.H. and Security and fire safety regulations
- To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested
You will need:-
- Experience of working in fast paced environments, busy kitchens and small teams
- The ability to work as part of a team and independently. Using your own initiative to ensure that Quality, Performance and Standards are always achieved
- Flexible and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Health and Safety Qualification
- Good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Legislation
- Awareness of Food allergies
- Car owner preferred
