CHILDMINDER’S ASSISTANT WANTED – 3 DAYS A WEEK - POTENTIAL TO GO FULL TIME
I’m looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Childminder’s Assistant to join me for 3 days a week.
This would be a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants a part-time, flexible role — particularly ideal for a mum looking to return to work after maternity leave or someone wanting to earn some extra income around their own family.
The role: 3 days per week Flexible start and finish times, with hours falling between 8am–5:30pm Working alongside me with the children in my care Helping with activities, play and day-to-day childcare Coming along on trips and outings to local places such as playgroups, Fishers Farm and other fun activities Someone who is happy to be hands-on, get involved and have fun!
You must have your own car, as we regularly go out and about locally.
Have your own child? That’s absolutely fine! I’m very happy for you to bring your own child with you, making this a particularly great opportunity for mums looking for a flexible role that fits around their family.
I’m looking for someone who is kind, caring, trustworthy, energetic and reliable, and who genuinely enjoys spending time with children.
This is a relaxed, fun and busy environment where no two days are quite the same!

Duties

• Assist with supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being
• Support the implementation of educational and recreational activities that promote learning and development
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for children
• Engage with children using positive communication, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth
• Support with transportation duties when necessary, including driving children to activities or school pick up
• Collaborate with lead childminder to monitor children's progress and address individual needs
• Follow all health, safety, and safeguarding policies diligently to create a secure environment for all children

Requirements

• Valid driving license with experience in safe driving practices
• Previous experience in teaching, nannying, or childcare roles is highly desirable but not essential
• Fluency in English
• Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
• Excellent communication skills with children and adults alike
• Passionate about nurturing young minds and supporting their growth through engaging interactions
