Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childminder Assistant to support our childminding service. The ideal candidate will help create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children, assisting in their daily activities and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Assist in supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Activity Planning: Help plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, games, and educational outings.
- Support Development: Foster children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through interactive play and learning experiences.
- Meal Preparation: Assist in preparing healthy meals and snacks, promoting good eating habits.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and any concerns.
- Housekeeping: Help maintain a clean and organized play area and ensure that toys and materials are safe and in good condition.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the lead childminder to support the overall goals of the childminding service and participate in team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Experience in childcare or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).DBS checks
