Reporting to the Head Chef and Sous Chef, the Commis Chef responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following tasks and performances:
To support the Chefs team in all areas of the kitchen and day-to-day duties; To support with stock control, food preparation, and prepare other items as directed by your supervisor; To assist with maintaining a fast and smooth service from the kitchen to the restaurant in order to fulfil our guest needs, requirements and expectations; To work in accordance with all Health & Safety Regulations and Food Hygiene requirements, and where required takes all reasonable measures to enforce and guarantee compliance.
The successful Commis Chef will:
Have genuine interest in culinary arts and hospitality as a career. Have similar experience in a luxury 5-star hotel/resort environment is preferable. Have the ability to work well under pressure, meet customer expectations and be a great team player. Be enthusiastic and ready to go the extra mile; Be passionate about ensuring a delightful culinary experience for clients and guests alike. Be fluent in English. Job description We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at our new restaurant My Place Chiswick that is opening on mid June. We are an all day restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and sharing plates and cocktails in the evening. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operation, including menu development, food preparation, stock control, staff management and of course maintaining high levels of hygiene and food safety.
