We are an independent café business opening our second and largest location. Building on the success of our first takeaway-focused site, this new space will focus on brunch, specialty coffee, and creating a great dine-in experience. We are looking for an experienced Chef to help shape the kitchen, menu, and team from the start. The Role You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and consistency, and helping develop a menu focused on fresh, seasonal brunch dishes. You will work closely with the owners to establish kitchen systems, build a strong team, and create a food offering that reflects our vision for the business. Responsibilities • Oversee daily kitchen operations and service, • Prepare and deliver high-quality brunch and lunch dishes, • Support menu development and seasonal specials, • Manage ordering, stock control, and food costs, • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards, • Train, support, and motivate kitchen staff, • Work closely with management to improve systems and grow the business What We're Looking For • Previous experience as a Head Chef or experienced Sous Chef, • Strong knowledge of brunch, café, or casual dining operations, • Organised, reliable, and able to work under pressure, • Passion for quality ingredients and great food, • Strong leadership and communication skills, • A positive attitude and willingness to grow with the business What We Offer • Competitive salary based on experience, • Creative input into menu development, • Opportunity to help shape a new brunch concept, • Supportive and collaborative working environment, • Long-term growth opportunities within a growing independent business
