Purpose of the Role: We are seeking a proactive and organised Logistics Assistant to support the Logistics Manager in the smooth day-to-day running of the business. Key Responsibilities: • Scheduling and coordinating deliveries and collections of ground protection panels, ensuring project timeframes are met., • Liaising with hauliers, crews on site and the sales team to ensure clear communication across all operations, • Monitoring the movement of panels to and from project sites, reconciling inventory against site deliveries and collections tickets, • Resolve any scheduling discrepancies and manage any site delays, • Assisting with damage and loss issues relating to stock, • Responsible for raising and monitoring all the Logistics Purchase Orders/Transport Orders and communicating with individuals and the finance team if there are any concerns, • Assisting with stock control and inventory management, • Act as first point of contact within the Logistics Office during working hours to ensure phone calls are taken and queries are dealt with in a time affective manner, • Sourcing haulage at competitive rates, • Update and maintain key operational management systems, including all digital and hard copy, • Responsible for booking hotels for crews working away, • Monitor and communicate operational training requirements using data from HR, HSE and to ensure compliance with company requirement, • Provide cover for Logistics Manager role, • Supporting daily administrative and logistics tasks, • Helping to ensure all operations run efficiently and on schedule Required Skills and Experience: • Proven experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain administration (typically 2+ years), • High accuracy in recording data, managing inventory, and processing documentation, • Strong, intermediate-to-advanced Office & Excel skills.
