Annual salary: up to £46,218.36 \n Electrician \n Location: Crawley \n Contract: Full Time Permanent \n Salary: Up to £46,218.36 per annum, plus company van & fuel card \n Hours: 42.5 hours per week (8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday–Friday) \n We’re currently seeking a skilled and qualified electrician to join our growing team in Crawley. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll carry out the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems across both void and occupied properties. \n You’ll play a vital role in ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and ready for residents. If you’re ready to take on a varied role with real opportunities for development, we’d love to hear from you. \n Electrical Duties: \n\n • Carry out reactive repairs to lighting circuits, sockets, fuse boards, and other electrical systems\n, • Inspect and test installations to ensure safety and compliance with current regulations\n, • Diagnose faults and repair or replace components including switches, outlets, light fittings, and circuit breakers\n, • Work independently or collaboratively to meet daily targets\n, • Communicate clearly with tenants or residents, explaining work carried out and expected outcomes\n, • Ensure all work areas are left clean, safe, and tidy\n, • Follow all health and safety policies and procedures at all times\n, • Deliver high standards of customer care\n, • Respond to emergency call-outs, including out-of-hours work where required\n, • Carry out installation, servicing, repair, and maintenance across a range of domestic properties\n, • Use relevant IT systems to manage, prioritise, and complete workload efficiently\n\n Key Criteria: \n\n • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (including AM2)\n, • City & Guilds 18th Edition (17th Edition candidates will be supported to upgrade)\n, • Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record\n, • Inspection and Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent – 2394/2395)\n, • Previous experience within domestic or social housing environments\n\n Benefits: \n\n • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\n, • Annual Mears Fun Day – a company-wide celebration as a thank you for your hard work\n, • Volunteering leave – supporting your contribution to the local community\n, • Mears Rewards – discounts on groceries, holidays, eye care, and more\n, • Family-friendly policies\n, • Company van, fuel card, and uniform provided\n\n All our roles require candidates to have the right to work in the UK.
