People Development Manager \n Dundee (Hybrid Role with travel in Scotland) \n Full Time Position (35 hours a week) \n I am pleased to be working again with one of our long-standing clients in the Professional Services Sector who have created a brand-new role for a People Development Manager to head up the L&D Function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing firm with a real ability to work autonomously and shape the L&D Strategy. \n Duties include: \n Learning & Development \n\n • Design and deliver practical learning solutions across technical, advisory, management, and leadership skills aligned to the Firm’s 5-year strategy.\n, • Regularly review and improve content, methods, and materials to keep them relevant and effective Introduce new approaches, tools, and technologies to keep our learning offer current and engaging\n\n HL Academy \n\n • Lead and continually develop the HL Academy to ensure it reflects business needs\n, • Gather feedback and use it to improve content and delivery\n\n Trainee Programme \n\n • Oversee a structured, high-quality trainee programme aligned to firm goals\n, • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear development pathways and performance tracking\n, • Support trainees throughout their journey, helping them succeed and resolve challenges early\n\n Onboarding \n\n • Deliver a structured onboarding experience that sets people up well from day one\n, • Ensure new joiners have the skills, knowledge, and support they need to perform quickly and confidently\n\n Talent Development & Succession \n\n • Develop programmes to support high-potential employees and future leaders Introduce mentoring, leadership development, and clear progression pathways\n, • Support Head of People team with succession planning\n\n Culture & Engagement \n\n • Design and deliver development solutions that support culture change and embed firm values\n, • Use insights from engagement surveys and feedback to shape learning priorities\n, • Help create an environment where people can perform at their best and feel engaged in their work\n\n Manager Capability \n\n • Support managers to develop their teams effectively\n, • Provide coaching and deliver practical leadership development\n, • Equip managers with tools to drive performance and support career growth\n\n Planning & Prioritisation \n\n • Work with the Head of People on training needs analysis Identify priorities based on business goals and future capability needs\n, • Ensure solutions are high quality and cost-effective\n\n Systems & Insight \n\n • Manage and develop the LMS and performance systems to support development\n, • Use data and feedback to assess impact and continuously improve\n, • Ensure learning and performance processes are aligned and adding value\n\n External Relationships \n\n • Build strong relationships with training providers, professional bodies, and education partners\n, • Create pipelines through schools, colleges, and universities\n\n To be considered for these roles, candidates must have the following: \n\n • Experience of leading, designing and delivering L&D Initiatives\n, • Experience conducting training needs analysis, ensuring a commercial focus\n, • Ability to create and work with blended learning solutions\n, • Confidence liaising with various stakeholders and external providers effectively \n\n Benefits \n\n • 35 Holiday Days\n, • Discretionary Annual Bonus\n, • Autonomy in Role\n, • Longer term opportunities to get involved with Consultancy work\n\n
