Hi, We are KUMA, Korean & Japanese Restaurant. We are looking for a kitchen member who can fill position in the fryer section. Main responsibilities include food prep, starters & mains, general assistance to head chef, cleaning and organising. We look for a sensible, responsible fast learner who has a great work attitude and ethics as well as a good character. Proper Training is given to those who are willing to learn with a positive attitude. 3 hour unpaid trial shift upon interview and start. Typical work hours: Tues-Thurs 15:00-22:00, Fri&Sat 16:00-22:30Starting rate of £13, Hourly rate of £13.5-14 (negotiated after three months), from then on we will look for active progression on shift and added responsibility.

The role As our Breakfast Sous Chef, you'll take ownership of the breakfast operation at Brasserie Olivia. You'll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver our new French breakfast offer, from preparation and service to stock, ordering and daily organisation. You'll be the first chef in the restaurant each morning, taking responsibility for setting up breakfast service and making sure everything is ready for the day ahead. This is a new and growing part of the business. You'll play an important role in making it successful and, as breakfast grows, helping build and develop the team around you. What success looks like • You'll take ownership of the morning operation, ensuring the kitchen is organised, prepared and ready for breakfast before the first guests arrive., • You'll deliver a consistently excellent breakfast service, with every dish prepared and served to the highest standard., • You'll understand the commercial performance of breakfast and contribute ideas that help grow revenue and make the operation successful., • You'll work closely with the Head Chef to continuously improve the breakfast offer, responding to feedback and what we learn as the business grows., • You'll manage preparation, ordering, stock and par levels effectively, minimising waste and protecting food cost., • You'll maintain excellent food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards throughout every shift., • You'll communicate clearly with both the kitchen and front of house teams, creating a smooth breakfast service and a great guest experience., • As the operation grows, you'll help build, coach and develop the breakfast team. What you'll bring • You're already working at Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef level, or you have strong experience independently running a breakfast operation., • You're looking for a senior kitchen role with a consistent morning working pattern (finishing at 1pm), • You're exceptionally reliable and punctual, and comfortable with the responsibility of being the first chef in the restaurant each morning (5:30am start)., • You have strong hands-on kitchen experience, with excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations., • You're highly organised and confident taking ownership of a kitchen operation from preparation through to service., • You understand the commercial side of a kitchen, including stock, ordering, waste, food cost and performance., • You're curious, open to feedback and excited by the opportunity to help develop and grow a new part of the business., • You have strong leadership skills and the ability to build and develop a team as the breakfast operation grows.
