We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join our healthcare team full time. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients of any age, from newborn to elderly, supporting their medical needs and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment. This role offers an opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary clinical setting, contributing to the health and wellbeing of children and their families.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive and caring nursing care, including implementation and evaluation of care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and observe any changes in patient conditions, promptly reporting concerns to the medical team.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately in accordance with prescribed protocols.
- Support children and adults through education, reassurance, and emotional support, and follow up with some patients through weekly calls.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Adhere to infection control procedures and health & safety standards within the clinical environment.
- Assist with auditing, risk assessments, and CQC compliance.
- Assist consultants during minor surgical procedures and consultations.
- Manage stock, order consumables and vaccines as needed, and keep detailed records.
Requirements
- Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Proven experience in paediatric nursing and paediatric phlebotomy.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards children and their families.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and care delivery.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
