As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Process Supervisor to lead our SMT production operations and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes. The Opportunity As Process Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our SMT production area, ensuring manufacturing targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities Lead SMT production activities to ensure products are manufactured in line with production schedules and customer requirements. Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the SMT Process Team to ensure efficient workflow and operational performance. Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Stores, and other supporting departments to ensure materials, tooling, and documentation are available when required. Ensure products are assembled and tested in accordance with defined build standards, procedures, and quality requirements. Support team members during new product introductions and product changes, ensuring understanding of specifications and manufacturing standards. Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and other key performance indicators, identifying trends and conducting root cause analysis where necessary. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, and Lean manufacturing principles. Coach, mentor, motivate, and develop team members to achieve their full potential. Conduct performance reviews, set SMART objectives, and provide regular feedback and development support. Support the Production Manager with recruitment activities and capital expenditure recommendations. Maintain accurate production records and material movement transactions within the manufacturing system. Promote and maintain high standards of ESD awareness, material handling, quality, and safety. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and quality management requirements. Report quality issues promptly and support corrective action activities to prevent recurrence. Requirements Essential Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within an SMT or electronics manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of SMT manufacturing processes and electronics assembly. Experience working within a fast-paced production environment. Knowledge of production planning, quality standards, and manufacturing KPIs. Ability to analyse performance data and identify process improvements. Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience coaching, developing, and managing team performance. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Desirable Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies. Understanding of OEE measurement and reporting. As the senior Rubix representative on site, you'll take end-to-end ownership of service delivery, safety, stores control, commercial performance and the customer relationship. Key Responsibilities Lead a safe and compliant operation, maintaining effective risk assessments, safe systems of work, inspections and corrective actions. Act as the primary Rubix contact on site, building trusted relationships across engineering, procurement, finance, operations and senior leadership. Identify and deliver measurable improvements through stock optimisation, supplier consolidation, product alternatives, digital adoption and process improvement. Skills and Qualifications Strong operational leadership experience gained within an Insite, MRO, engineering stores, warehouse, supply-chain, branch or similar customer-facing environment. Commercial awareness, with experience managing sales, gross profit, margin, costs, forecasts or working capital. Practical knowledge of purchasing, orderbook management, inventory control, perpetual counting and stock-accuracy processes. Experience using ERP, inventory or stores-management systems to maintain accurate, auditable operational controls. A strong understanding of HSEQ requirements, including risk assessments, safe systems of work and corrective-action management. Experience managing KPIs, service recovery, operational risk and structured customer performance reviews. The ability to lead, coach and influence others, whether through direct line management or cross-functional relationships. Strong numerical, analytical, written and digital skills, with the confidence to interpret data and present clear recommendations. The judgement to balance customer urgency with safety, contractual, commercial, technical and policy requirements. This is a varied and rewarding role combining hands-on complex care, team leadership and dedicated management time . You won't be expected to squeeze the leadership responsibilities in around care shifts — the role includes 15 hours of dedicated admin time each week to manage the team, rotas, care plans, risk assessments and the wider running of the package.
