Role Overview:
We are looking for a competent Grill Chef with strong skills in slicing and serving doner, who can work well under pressure. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our kebabs and burgers are cooked and prepared to a superb standard, working in a fast-paced kitchen and maintaining consistency night after night.
Key Responsibilities:
Grill, cook and prepare meats, especially doner, to high quality standards.
Carve / slice doner cleanly and accurately, with correct portion sizes and presentation.
Operate smash burgers as required: grilling, assembly, bun prep, ensuring consistency.
Maintain speed and efficiency during busy periods without compromising hygiene or food safety.
Assist with prep tasks: trimming, seasoning, marinating meats, prepping burger patties, monitoring stock.
Uphold strict cleanliness and food hygiene (kitchen workstation, tools, surfaces) at all times.
Be a reliable member of the evening team, ensuring orders (collection & delivery) are fulfilled correctly and timely
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience working as a Grill Chef or similar in a takeaway / fast food / kebab shop environment.
Strong doner slicing / cutting skills, portion control.
Experience with burger grilling (smash burger preferred) will be an advantage.
Comfortable working in a fast, busy kitchen during peak evening times.
Excellent hygiene awareness and safe working practices.
Reliable, punctual, good communicator, team player, with a strong work ethic.
