We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Health Care Assistant to provide dedicated support to an individual with complex neurological needs, including brain injury and epilepsy. The ideal candidate will deliver person-centred care with patience, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive supervision and support during daily activities, ensuring safety and dignity at all times
- Assist with personal care tasks, including mobility support using safe moving and handling techniques
- Monitor for and respond appropriately to seizure activity, following established protocols
- Support communication needs with calm, clear, and unhurried interaction
- Maintain a clean, safe environment, adhering to infection control standards
- Collaborate closely with family and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and consistency of care
- Observe and report any changes in physical, neurological, or emotional condition promptly
- Assist with positioning, skin care, and use of specialised equipment to prevent pressure injuries
- Support hydration and nutrition monitoring as directed by care plans
- Uphold confidentiality, respect, and client dignity in all interactions
