Junior Cyber Security Analyst
Europa Solutions Limited is seeking a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to support the company and its clients in protecting digital systems, websites, applications, networks and business information from cyber-security threats.
The successful candidate will work as part of the technology team and assist with identifying security risks, monitoring systems, investigating security alerts and supporting the implementation of appropriate security controls.
- Basic understanding of cyber-security principles and practices.
- Knowledge of common cyber threats, vulnerabilities and attack techniques.
- Understanding of network security, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS and firewalls.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of identity, authentication and access-control principles.
- Basic knowledge of web application security and OWASP principles.
- Ability to analyse system logs, security alerts and unusual system activity.
- Basic experience with vulnerability scanning and security assessment tools.
- Understanding of data protection and information-security requirements.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to investigate security issues and document findings clearly.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with developers, IT staff and other technical teams.
