Kitchen Team Member – Pizza Preparation - TAGELO - London

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable person to join the counter team at Tagelo, our new Roman style pizza shop opening soon in St John’s Wood. The role includes welcoming customers, helping them choose their pizza slices, cutting and serving pizza, taking orders and payments, packing takeaway and delivery orders, and keeping the counter and customer area clean and tidy. Good spoken English and a positive attitude are essential. Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. Full training will be provided. Full time and part time positions available.

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and smooth, timely service • Prepare and cook a variety of smokehouse, grilled and brunch dishes with precision, creativity and consistency, • Take responsibility for the preparation and cooking of smoked meats and other smokehouse dishes, • Help maintain consistent cooking, seasoning, portioning and presentation standards, • Oversee food safety, hygiene, sanitation and correct food storage procedures, • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations during preparation and service, • Monitor stock, control waste and assist with ordering and inventory, • Train and support kitchen team members in food preparation, cooking techniques, hygiene and service standards, • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests, • Maintain a clean, organised and professional kitchen at all times, • Contribute ideas and creativity to the development of our smokehouse and brunch menu WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Minimum 2 years’ professional chef experience, • Experience in a busy restaurant kitchen, • Smokehouse, BBQ, grill or fire-cooking experience is highly desirable, • Strong understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques, • Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety, • Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team, • Able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure, • Reliable, organised and passionate about delivering great food, • A genuine interest in smoked meats, BBQ, grilling and bold flavours
