Veterinary Nursing Lecturer Location: North London Contract: Full-time or Part-time Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time) Reed Further Education is delighted to be recruiting a Veterinary Nursing Lecturer for a well-regarded specialist education provider based at their North London Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Surgeon who is passionate about education and developing the next generation of veterinary professionals. The Role You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across a range of veterinary nursing programmes, supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress successfully into employment. The role involves classroom-based delivery, assessment, learner support and close collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure outstanding learner outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across a range of veterinary nursing courses, • Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with awarding body requirements, • Develop and upload learning resources to the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), • Conduct formative and summative assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback, • Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement, setting targets where needed, • Act as a Clinical Tutor, supporting students with clinical progression and NPL completion, • Support student welfare, safeguarding and health & safety at all times, • Participate in learner reviews, team meetings and quality assurance activities Essential: • Registered Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS registered), • Relevant professional qualification in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Medicine, • Experience working within the veterinary sector, • Willingness to undertake a teaching qualification (Level 3 Award in Education & Training if not already held), • Teaching qualification (Level 5 or above), • Experience teaching or training in an educational setting, • Assessor and/or Internal Verifier qualifications, • Knowledge of awarding bodies and quality assurance processes Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
