This is a varied role that combines technical documentation, engineering administration, and wider business support within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Working closely with our Mechanical, Electrical, and Automation Engineering teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate production of machine instruction manuals, maintenance of engineering data, and administration of engineering processes.   Engineering Stores Assistant • £32,448 per year (equivalent to £16.00 per hour), • Overtime paid at time-and-a-half: £24.00 per hour, • Permanent Position, located in the Cambourne area, • 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, • 07:30 start with an early finish every Friday (12:00 midday), • Rural / out-of-town location - own transport required, • Engineering stores / manufacturing environment - forklift licence advantageous The Role We're recruiting an Engineering Stores Assistant to support a busy engineering stores function within a manufacturing environment. You'll be responsible for ensuring parts and materials are received, stored, controlled and issued accurately to support production. Key Responsibilities • Receiving goods, checking paperwork, booking items in and putting stock away, • Picking and issuing parts/materials to production and engineering teams, • Stock control: location management, stock checks and cycle counts, • Maintaining accurate records using stock systems/paperwork, • General stores/warehouse housekeeping and safe manual handling, • Forklift operation (where trained/licenced) What We're Looking For • Proven stores and material handling experience, • Background in a manufacturing / engineering stores / warehouse environment, • Forklift certificate/licence is an advantage, but training can be arranged, • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and basic IT skills, • Own transport essential due to rural location Working Hours (39 hours/week) • Monday: 07:30 - 16:00, • Tuesday: 07:30 - 16:30, • Wednesday: 07:30 - 17:00, • Thursday: 07:30 - 17:00, • Friday: 07:30 - 12:00 HRGO Recruitment offers permanent and temporary jobs across the UK.
