  QHSE Manager – Manufacturing Environment | Bedfordshire An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to lead Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental processes within a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement and embedding a strong QHSE culture across the business. Key Responsibilities • Manage and continually improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 standards, • Lead internal audits, corrective actions and management reviews, • Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints and warranty issues, • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using root cause analysis techniques such as 5 Whys, Fishbone and FMEA, • Monitor quality metrics including defects, rework and returns, • Develop and maintain Health & Safety procedures in line with UK legislation, • Conduct risk assessments and oversee safe systems of work within a manufacturing environment, • Lead accident and incident investigations, including RIDDOR reporting where required, • Support Environmental Management processes aligned to ISO 14001, • Monitor environmental performance including waste, emissions and energy usage, • Produce QHSE reports and ensure documentation and compliance records are maintained Skills & Experience Required • Previous QHSE management experience within manufacturing or engineering, • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and Health & Safety compliance, • Experience managing in-house quality procedures and audit processes, • Ability to carry out root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions, • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, • Hands-on approach with the ability to influence teams across production and engineering Desirable • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, • ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 Lead Auditor qualification, • Knowledge of refrigeration or F-Gas regulations, • Lean or Six Sigma experience, • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics What’s on Offer • Competitive salary package, • Modern production facility, • Career development and training opportunities, • Supportive and collaborative working environment For more information or to apply, please get in touch.

Their ideal candidate will have hands on electrical, mechanical, PLC knowledge and have installation, service, and machine breakdown experience.
