(£11 per hour take home) Working Days: Monday - Saturday (Saturday shifts only 5 hours) Working Time: 4 am start at our depot We are looking for a Multi Drop Delivery Driver to start with us as soon as possible. This job involves heavy lifting of fresh produce. The vans are 3.5 tonne. You will get a weeks training with another driver to learn the drops and the customers. We have an optional pension scheme. You will get 20 days paid holiday leave. You must be over 25 for insurance purposes and must have no more than 6 points on your driving license. Experience with delivery driving or driving of 3.5 tonne vans helpful. Ideally we need people that are able to start within the week.

The ideal Candidate will have experience within passenger transport, a valid D1 drivers’ licence and able to pass background checks according to company policies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Drive to safe and professional standards (D1/PCV standards), all vehicle types operated by MCT in accordance with the Highway Code, including adherence to traffic and parking regulations and Blue Badge provisions. • Using accessible vehicles equipped with a ramp or tail lift, transport passengers to/from designated collection points in a courteous and safe manner. Ensure passengers are correctly secured in the vehicle with a seatbelt or with the use of various specialist wheelchair securing mechanisms. • Undertake at start and finish of duty vehicle checks in accordance with legal and company requirements, report/deal with defects according to company procedures. Ensure that all necessary equipment for a day's duty is present on the vehicle and in good condition and refuel vehicles as may be required. • Assist passengers on a door-to-door basis. This involves, lifting and carry shopping and/or belongings for passengers to and from their destination, lift and carry equipment such as shopping trolleys, walking frames, folded manual wheelchairs and other aides required by the passenger. • To Manoeuvre passengers in wheelchairs of various sizes up and down kerbs and on and off the bus.
