Procurement Officer - AgencyX Recruits

We’re working with a market intelligence firm that is looking to bring on board an experienced procurement officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation where you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and growing vendor partnerships, while shaping the future of the vendor management program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing contracts, negotiating prices, and ensuring the efficient operation of our supply chain.
This role requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of supply chain management principles to optimise vendor performance and drive cost savings.
This role is remote-first, but candidates based near London or Amsterdam will be required to attend the office twice per month for collaboration. Occasional travel to vendor sites (up to 10%) may also be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors to secure favourable terms.
• Monitor supplier performance through regular evaluations and audits, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to align procurement strategies with organisational goals.
• Utilise Breezeway and other procurement management tools to track orders, manage inventory levels, and streamline processes.
• Analyse market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement in the supply chain.
• Prepare reports on vendor performance metrics, including price fluctuations, delivery timelines, and quality assessments.
• Address any issues or disputes with suppliers promptly to maintain strong partnerships.

Requirments

• 3+ years of prior experience in vendor management and/or supply chain operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and SAP
• Prior experience in a vendor-focused role, with a keen eye for detail
• Previous experience working in an ERP (Order Management; Inventory Management)
