We are seeking a confident, caring, and experienced Care Team Leader to take charge of shifts and support the smooth running of our care home in Southend-on-Sea. This is a pivotal role for someone who leads by example, fosters a nurturing environment, and ensures high standards of care are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate care staff during allocated shifts, ensuring residents’ needs are met with dignity and respect
Support with care planning, medication administration, and safeguarding protocols
Maintain clear communication with families, professionals, and senior management
Promote a positive team culture and mentor junior staff
Ensure compliance with CQC standards and internal policies
About You:
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) Previous experience in a senior care role, ideally within a residential or nursing setting
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Compassionate, reliable, and committed to person-centred care
Able to remain calm and decisive under pressure

Key Responsibilities • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility, • Support residents during mealtimes and help with feeding if required, • Engage residents in meaningful activities and companionship, • Monitor and report changes in residents’ health or behaviour to senior staff, • Maintain accurate records of care provided, • Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, • Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential (full training provided), • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it), • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach, • Right to work in the UK, • Enhanced DBS check (can be arranged upon offer) What We Offer • Competitive hourly rates and overtime pay, • Paid induction and ongoing training, • Career development opportunities, • Free uniform and meals on shift, • Pension scheme, • Supportive team environment
Work with a sweet 20 year old who is completely wheelchair bound. 4 hours a day/ 7 days a week. The 4 hours daily are spread throughout the day, once in the morning, once midday, once afternoon, once evening. Flexible hours.
