Take over an established Thursday evening of 1-to-1 singing students at our Haslemere music school - with 8 students ready and waiting - and two more evenings available to build alongside it.

What's on offer
- Thursdays, 3:30pm to 8pm: 8 existing 30-minute students (capacity 9)*
- Mondays and Fridays, 3:30pm to 8pm: new evenings we'll promote to help fill your diary
- Take one evening or several
- 1-to-1 lessons for children, teens and adults, beginner to Grade 8

Pay
£12.50-£14 per 30-minute lesson (£25-£28/hr). Paid monthly, 5 working days after month end. Late cancellations and no-shows (under 24 hours' notice) are paid in full.

- Digital piano in every room, plus audio playback for backing tracks
- Students self-book into your teaching block, so you're not chasing bookings

You'll be a great fit if you
- are a confident contemporary performer (pop, rock, musical theatre and more), able to teach beginners to Grade 8 (e.g. ABRSM / Trinity / RSL / LCM)
- have at least a year's teaching experience with children and/or adults
- value confidence, enjoyment and progress over flawless performance
- love supporting your students as they take to the stage

The Music Works is a not-for-profit contemporary music school in Surrey, and Music School of the Year 2025. Our purpose is simple: we make musicians and communities. We teach children, teenagers and adults at our music schools in Guildford, Haslemere and Milford (near Godalming), and in primary schools across Surrey. Lessons cover singing, piano, guitar, drums, ukulele, bass, band and more, from complete beginners to Grade 8. Performance is at the heart of everything we do. Our students take to the stage at showcases, performance weeks throughout the year, because we believe music builds confidence, connection and courage, and that the right mentor can change a young person's life. We work with a network of independent, freelance music teachers who care more about people than perfection. As a not-for-profit, every penny we make goes back into music education.
