Goldmills are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to work in a modern British restaurant with a European twist for a newly refurbished establishment located 5 minutes’ walk from Upminster station.
This restaurant is undergoing a relaunch with a new menu and modern fully equipped kitchen and we are looking for somebody that preferably has experience with Modern British cuisine but this is not essential.
The ideal candidate will be:
  • Passionate about creating great dishes and keen to learn from an experienced Head Chef
  • Can manage a kitchen under-pressure
  • Can contribute their experience into new dishes for seasonal menus
  • A great team player and works well with others
  • Knowledgeable on all kitchen health and safety standards
  • Has up to date Food Hygiene Level 1 & 2 certificates as well as Health & Safety
  • Very good communication skills
  • Has a minimum of 1 years experience as a Sous in a similar environment
  • Has a very good understanding of stock control and deliveries
  • Can manage a kitchen without supervision



Schedule:
The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday but you will be required to work 5 out of 7 days of the week on a weekly rota basis.
This role will be for an immediate start.

We will be holding face to face interviews in the next two weeks.
