Home Care Worker – Cooking & Housekeeping Support Location: Southall (UB1) Pay Rate: £13.00 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 17.5 hours per week (Weekends off) • Morning visit: 11:30am - 1:00pm (2 hours) This is a non-personal care role as gentleman is able to manage his personal care duties. The focus is on preparing fresh vegetarian meals and maintaining a tidy, comfortable home ensuring their safety and reporting any concerns. The client is able to express his wants and needs and he has a very supportive family living nearby who visit regularly. Main Duties: • Preparing fresh home-cooked Hindu vegetarian meals such as chapatis, aloo dishes, lady’s fingers, vegetable curries, Indian tea, and English breakfast sometimes., • General housekeeping, including cleaning dishes, tidying the kitchen and bedroom, wiping surfaces, laundry, and keeping the home safe and pleasant., • Ensuring the home remains clean, organised, and welcoming., • Must have the right to work in the UK., • Female applicants only (for cultural preference)., • Experience in Indian vegetarian/Hindu cooking to a high standard., • 2 professional references from previous employers., • DBS on the update service (preferred but not necessary), • Consistent weekday hours with weekends off., • Supportive family and management team., • A warm, respectful environment where your cooking skills are truly valued.

As part of our team, you will provide day-to-day support tailored to individual needs, ensuring service users are supported to live independently and achieve their personal goals. Key Responsibilities Provide person-centred care and support in line with individual care plans. Assist with daily living tasks including meal preparation, personal care, and household duties. Support service users in accessing community activities, education, and employment opportunities. Encourage independence, confidence, and personal development. Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and CQC requirements. Promote health, safety, and wellbeing at all times. Requirements Previous experience in care or supported living (preferred but not essential – full training provided). A genuine passion for supporting others and making a difference in people’s lives. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
