Jaba Construct is currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Care / Support Workers on behalf of our client in Cornwall. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives while working with a supportive and professional team.
About the Role
You will be supporting vulnerable adults in residential/supported living settings, helping them to live independently while promoting dignity, respect, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting individuals with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- Assisting with medication (where trained)
- Supporting with daily living tasks and meal preparation
- Encouraging independence and community engagement
- Maintaining accurate care records
- Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 6 months experience in care/support work (preferred)
- Compassionate, patient and professional attitude
- Good communication skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)
- Relevant training (Manual Handling, Safeguarding, Medication, etc.)
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in supported living
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs
