BMS Estimator – Leading High-Performance Building Projects Are you a skilled BMS Estimator looking to play a key role in shaping the future of intelligent, high-performance buildings? Our client, a leading specialist within the MEP and digital systems sector, is seeking a talented BMS Estimator to support bids and tenders across landmark projects in the science, healthcare, infrastructure, and defence sectors. This is a unique opportunity to influence the design and delivery of next-generation smart building solutions from the ground up. The Role As a BMS Estimator, you’ll provide strategic estimating insight and technical expertise to support a wide range of complex projects. Your responsibilities will include: • Preparing accurate cost estimates for Building Management Systems — from control panels to field devices and integration, • Reviewing specifications, drawings, and documentation to define BMS scope and ensure compliance, • Evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations and contributing to commercial strategy, • Supporting bid teams with risk, value engineering, and margin input, • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across engineering, planning, procurement, and design, • Leading or supporting tender efforts across multiple high-profile projects, • Preparing clear and comprehensive handover documentation for delivery teams What We’re Looking For • Proven experience estimating BMS systems within the construction or building services sector, • Strong technical knowledge of BMS infrastructure, control philosophies, and system architecture, • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Eligibility for BPSS or SC clearance Desirable Experience: • Hands-on familiarity with BMS controls such as Schneider, Siemens, or Tridium, • Understanding of relevant industry standards (e.g. BS EN 15232, CIBSE Guide H), • Background in design, commissioning, or engineering, • Knowledge of procurement, cost planning, and estimating tools, • Exposure to healthcare, science, or secure government projects About RCC Connect At RCC Connect, we specialise in connecting exceptional talent with leading organisations in the Building Management Systems (BMS) and intelligent building technologies sector.
