    We are looking for a full-time Chef to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our customers. You will assist the Head Chef and Management with the smooth running of the kitchen whilst maintaining expenditure within stipulated budget limits. In the absence of the Head Chef to supervise the day to day responsibilities. Responsibilities · To take instruction from the Head Chef · To assist the Kitchen team in daily preparation and cooking of food keeping in mind our high standard of food service. · To serve and prepare food that should be served promptly and presented professionally. · Maintain a good understanding of menu options for the restaurant. · Responsible for taking and recording food/refrigerators temperatures within their own areas of responsibility. · Inform the Head Chef of food supplies required within the assigned sections. · To ensure that all equipment is functional and used correctly. · To ensure that all work areas are cleaned and maintained to the appropriate health and safety standards required. · To support the kitchen assistants with the cleaning of cooking utensils as and when required. · To have an appreciation of food costs, portion sizes, keep wastage to a minimum and to use cost effective menu options wherever possible. · To coach and support less experienced chefs in line with individual objectives. · To maintain all Health & Safety measures and ensure all legal and company requirements are adhered to. · To demonstrate a flexible approach in line with the business requirements. · Attend the necessary training courses and on the job training to increase knowledge to progress within the chef levels. Skills • Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook, • Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers), • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks, • Excellent time management abilities, • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes, • Familiarity with sanitation regulations
