What You'll Be Doing • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire students and support excellent progress., • Adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of learners with a range of additional and complex needs., • Plan, develop and review schemes of learning across your curriculum area., • Monitor student progress, using assessment to identify interventions and celebrate achievement., • Lead the development of your subject area, ensuring teaching remains creative, innovative and engaging., • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Avonside School and the wider Outcomes First Group to share best practice and develop the curriculum., • Support colleagues through training and sharing effective teaching strategies within your subject specialism., • Work closely with the Exams Officer to ensure accurate qualification entries and successful outcomes., • Teach across a range of subjects where required to support the effective delivery of the school's curriculum., • Work alongside therapists, Learning Support Assistants, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide a consistent, holistic approach to each student's education. What We're Looking For • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)., • Has experience teaching within an educational setting., • Can confidently plan, deliver and adapt engaging lessons for students with a range of learning needs., • Is passionate about inclusive education and believes every child can achieve., • Is creative, flexible and committed to delivering personalised learning experiences., • Builds positive relationships with students, families and colleagues., • Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team., • Holds a full UK Driving Licence. About Our School Avonside School is a brand-new specialist school in Bristol for young people with SEMH, autism, and associated needs. We provide a supportive environment prioritising wellbeing, personal growth, and academic progress.
