Zen Kitchen is hiring! We are a fast-growing juice and smoothie bar located in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. We serve protein smoothies, juices, coffee, and a variety of grab & go wellness products. We are a counter-service establishment with a loyal customer base of fitness enthusiasts, and we pride ourselves on delivering excellent service, consistency, and good energy every day. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Prepare and serve a variety of cold pressed juices, smoothies, other beverages (training and manual is provided) • Take orders, process payments, and prepare menu items, • Maintain a clean, organized workspace, • Build positive relationships with our regular customers, • Uphold high standards of customer service by addressing customer inquiries, and concerns promptly and professionally, • Follow company policies and practice with procedures regarding health, safety, and cleanliness, and comply with all applicable food safety regulations QUALIFICATIONS: • English speaking & understanding ability, • MUST be charismatic, kind, and have a customer-centric attitude, • Be reliable and flexible & able to adapt to the needs of the business, • Must live near Bensonhurst /Brooklyn for a short, reliable commute, • NYC Food Handler's License is a PLUS, • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, • Proactively engage with customers to promote special offers, new products, or promotions, • Strong work ethic and commitment to consistent quality output COMPENSATION: • Hourly with growth increases (depending on qualifications, commitment, skills, etc.), • Opportunity for growth within the team as we expand We are seeking candidates who can commit at least 35 hours per week and wish to grow with us long term Training: We have a multi-shift training program. We are seeking a skilled TEAM Player Bartenders, FULL TIME AND PART TIME, The ideal Bartender candidate must be experienced, and will be responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons, creating a welcoming environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Bartender Duties: • Know how to prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine, following standard recipes, • Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations when necessary., • Know how to open a bar, • Keep a clean and sanitary work environment., • Know how to break down a bar at end of day., • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and adhere to all food safety standards, • Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register, • Check identification to ensure customers meet legal drinking age, • Upsell additional products when appropriate Server, Barback/Busser Duties: • Ensure Bar is stocked and clean at all time, • Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations when necessary, • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and adhere to all food safety standards, • Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register, • Check identification to ensure customers meet legal drinking age, • Upsell additional products when appropriate Qualifications: • Previous experience as a Bartender/Server or in a similar role, • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices, • Familiarity with food safety regulations, • Excellent time management skills, • Ability to handle sales transactions accurately Job Types: Full-time and Part-time Pay: Hourly pay plus Tips Expected hours: 16 to 35 per week Benefits: NA • Evening shift

Engage with guests, answer questions, and ensure their orders are accurate and delivered promptly. Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions using the POS system and manage cash drawer responsibly. Maintain Cleanliness & Health Code Standards: Consistently uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the cafe, including brewing equipment, service areas, and seating. Understand and adhere to all relevant health code regulations at all times. Reliability & Punctuality: Be a reliable team member, consistently arriving on time for shifts and demonstrating strong work ethic. Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of our coffee beans, beverage menu, and any food offerings to confidently assist customers. Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other baristas and team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment. Inventory & Stocking: Assist with restocking supplies, maintaining inventory, and informing management of low stock. Qualifications Experience: 2-3 years of specialty coffee experience is required. You should be proficient in espresso preparation, milk steaming, and various brewing methods. Customer Service: Proven track record of providing stellar customer service in a fast-paced environment. Reliability: Demonstrated reliability and a strong sense of responsibility. Health & Safety: A thorough understanding of health code regulations related to food handling and cafe cleanliness. Food Handler's Certificate: Must possess a valid Food Handler's Certificate or be willing to obtain one upon employment. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
