We have a seasonal Italian concept with a large following and been consistently rated #1 Italian restaurant in our neighborhood We are currently looking for a bartender to join our team for 3 nights a week (could be supplemented with serving shifts if needed). We are seeking a talented and hospitality-driven to join our vibrant Italian restaurant team. This dual role is crucial for creating an exceptional guest experience, focusing on both expertly crafted beverages and attentive dining service at the bar. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and serve a full range of classic and Italian-inspired cocktails, wine, beer, aperitivi, and digestivi, maintaining consistent quality and presentation., • Provide comprehensive dining service to guests seated at the bar, including taking accurate food and beverage orders and delivering dishes efficiently., • Offer knowledgeable recommendations on our cocktail, wine, and food menus, enhancing the guest's culinary journey., • Maintain a pristine, organized, and fully stocked bar area at all times, adhering to all health and safety standards., • Manage bar seating, promptly greet guests, and ensure an attentive and seamless service experience., • Accurately process orders and handle payments using the POS system., • Cultivate a warm, engaging, and memorable atmosphere for all guests., • Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations., • Assist with opening and closing duties, including bar setup, stocking, and cleaning., • Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow. Qualifications: • A minimum of 2 years of bartending experience, preferably within a restaurant environment., • Strong expertise in classic cocktails, wine, and Italian spirits (e.g., Amaro, Aperol, Campari)., • Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively while maintaining high standards of service., • Excellent communication and guest engagement skills., • Comfort and proficiency in taking full food and beverage orders for bar patrons., • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced hospitality setting., • Must meet all legal age requirements for alcohol service. Monitor bar inventory, restock supplies, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards. Assist with table service when needed, including refilling drinks, clearing plates, and attending to guest requests. Handle cash and credit transactions using our POS system (Toast). Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor laws. Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team for seamless service. Uphold Blue Anchor’s high standards of hospitality and customer service at all times. Requirements: 2-3 years of experience as a bartender and/or server in a high-volume restaurant. Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, and wine. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Familiarity with POS systems like Toast is a plus.
