This position serves as the connection point between referral sources, families, clinical teams, and residential staff to ensure admissions decisions are thoughtful, timely, and aligned with each youth’s individual needs.This role helps establish the foundation for a youth’s success by ensuring they enter a program that understands their strengths, challenges, and unique story. Through clinical expertise, relationship-building, and thoughtful decision-making, the Clinical Admissions Coordinator helps create the conditions where youth can heal, grow, and thrive.The ideal candidate is a compassionate clinician who can balance clinical judgment, regulatory requirements, and collaboration while helping youth and families begin their journey with Lad Lake. This individual demonstrates THRIVE behaviors by practicing accountability, embracing continuous improvement, building strong relationships, and contributing to a culture where youth and employees can reach their full potential.What You’ll DoClinical Admissions & Coordination • Coordinate and facilitate referral, screening, and admissions processes for youth entering residential care., • Review referrals and assess appropriateness of placement based on clinical needs, safety considerations, supervision requirements, and available services., • Communicate clinical recommendations, safety considerations, and treatment needs to internal teams and external stakeholders., • Serve as a liaison between referring agencies, families, youth, residential staff, and clinical teams to support smooth transitions into care., • Develop, complete, and distribute Admission Screening Reports and initial treatment planning information to support safe, informed, and clinically appropriate admissions.Clinical Support & Treatment Services, • Provide clinical support through treatment planning, clinical documentation, group facilitation, individual therapy, and family therapy services as directed by the Assistant Director of Clinical Services., • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams regarding unit placement, therapist assignments, treatment goals, and ongoing resident support needs., • Support continuity of care by ensuring clinical information is effectively communicated across teams., • Promote trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered practices throughout the admissions and treatment process., • Build meaningful relationships with youth, families, referral partners, and colleagues through empathy, respect, and professionalism.Documentation, Compliance & Quality Improvement, • Maintain accurate admission documentation, electronic health records, and clinical records in accordance with agency expectations., • Ensure documentation practices align with COA Accreditation Standards, Wisconsin licensing regulations, and other applicable state and regulatory requirements., • Support quality improvement initiatives, data collection, and outcomes tracking related to admissions and clinical services in partnership with the PQI department., • Maintain confidentiality and professional standards in all aspects of the role., • Identify opportunities for process improvement that strengthen the admissions experience and support positive outcomes for youth.Organizational Responsibilities, • Lives Lad Lake’s mission and core values by bringing a trauma-informed, culturally humble, evidence-based, and family-centered approach to every interaction., • Honors the rights, dignity, and safety of all residents, families, and colleagues by creating an environment built on trust, respect, and compassion., • Contributes to an inclusive workplace where individuals feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work., • Models accountability by following agency policies, ethical standards, licensing requirements, and regulatory expectations related to safety, quality, confidentiality, and compliance., • Demonstrates THRIVE leadership behaviors by taking ownership, collaborating effectively, seeking continuous improvement, and supporting the success of youth, families, and colleagues., • Strengthens our community through teamwork, clear communication, advocacy, professional integrity, and a commitment to Lad Lake’s mission.What You BringRequired Qualifications, • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field., • Current clinical licensure, licensure-track status, or eligibility required., • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Lad Lake driving requirements.Preferred Experience & Skills, • At least one year of experience working in residential behavioral health, youth services, admissions coordination, or clinical support roles strongly preferred., • Strong clinical judgment with demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and youth-centered care practices., • Knowledge of licensing standards, accreditation requirements, treatment planning, and behavioral health documentation., • Experience with electronic health record systems preferred., • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and confidential information in a fast-paced environment., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with youth, families, referral agencies, and multidisciplinary teams., • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.Why Join Lad Lake?At Lad Lake, your work matters.
